About the record

House of Aces is a midnight record. It was cut in three weeks, in the hours between shifts, and mixed to sound right through a car system and a phone speaker — because that is where most people meet a song for the first time.

SpinsBro started as the face of the tables, the guy who never blinks when the reels line up. Somewhere between the wins and the late nights the beats followed. Warm keys, brushed drums and a bassline that walks like a man counting chips: the whole record is built around the time after midnight, when the floor thins out and the stories start.

How it was recorded

Nothing here was written at a desk. Every song on the album started as a voice memo taken in a break room, and half of them kept the original take because the second one never sounded as tired — in the right way.
